The difference between screw and wire rod

The screw is composed of a feeding section, a compression section and a metering section, and a circular cone with helical grooves on the outer surface of the screw or a cone with a spiral groove on the conical surface. The screw is used in plastic forming equipment, such as plastic profile extruder, injection molding machine, molding machine, rubber machine, etc. Screw and barrel are the core components of plastic forming equipment.

Working principle: transporting, compacting, melting, stirring and pressing plastics. These are accomplished by rotating the screw in the barrel. When the screw is rotated, the plastic will cause friction and movement between the inner wall of the barrel, the bottom of the screw groove, the screw pushing surface and the plastic and plastic. The forward movement of plastics is the result of this combination of motion, and the heat generated by friction is also absorbed to improve the temperature of plastics and melt plastics. The design structure of the screw will directly affect the extent of these effects.

The wire rod is composed of a screw rod, a nut and a ball ball. Ball screw is the most commonly used transmission element in tool and precision machinery. Its main function is to convert rotating motion into linear motion, or to convert torque into axial repeated forces, with high precision, reversibility and high efficiency. Because of its small friction resistance, ball screws are widely used in various industrial equipment and precision instruments.
Working principle:
Ball screw (which has basically replaced trapezoidal screw, commonly known as wire rod) is used to convert rotary motion into linear motion, or converts straight line motion into an executive component of rotating motion, and has high transmission efficiency and accurate positioning. When the ball screw is used as an active body, the nut will be transformed into a straight line with the rotation angle of the rod according to the guide of the corresponding specification. The passive workpiece can be connected by the nut seat and nut to achieve the corresponding linear motion.
